Förnyelse Av Löften Med Utomhusvigsel I Höstmiljö
Krystine: We would say it’s a story of hope and victory. After attending our friend’s wedding right before COVID, we were so discouraged and stressed because of all the changes we had to make in the last two months leading up to our wedding. We were so thankful for our friends and family, who encouraged us to stick to our May 15 wedding date despite not being able to celebrate with all our guests–after all, our ceremony mattered more to us than the reception. There was a lot of praying and looking deeper into what was important, instead of focusing on everything we wanted. It took some time but realizing this lightened the burden of all the last minute changes and allowed us to focus on each other instead of the smaller details. It really was the intimate wedding we didn’t know we needed!
We loved the rustic elegance of the venue! We thought we would have had to find a barn venue that was hours away, but Sweeney Barn was not that far from the city, yet you were kind of transferred to a different place while you were there. They also had items that we were able to use (i.e. lamps and vases for decor, and outdoor games for our guests), which added a nice touch to the reception. It had enough space for our guests and allowed us to hire the vendors we wanted. Andrea (Sweeney’s coordinator) was so easy to work with as well – and so responsive! She was actually the one that reached out to us so we could change our reception date before everything was booked. It definitely helped our stress when the vendor was proactive in contacting us about the changes.
With the design and colors, we wanted a rustic yet elegant theme for our wedding. We picked maroon since it's one of our favorite colors and partnered it with white, green and brown/ gold for nature/earth toned colors. Sweeneys theme went really well with what we were looking for.
