Intimt Och Avslappnat Elopement På Stranden: Daysha + Josh
Daysha: We didn't really have a inspiration to our wedding day. We just went with concepts that seemed effortless to us! I would say our style for that day was a bit boho. It consisted of the green leafy flowers we chose for our bouquet and the style of my dress. We chose not to incorporate any cultural/religious traditions in our day. Our officiant Melissa was good about making the ceremony tailored to us, which we really appreciated.

Daysha: We met through a mutual friend that I went through college with. During the last day of our college program, he mentioned that there was a friend named Josh that I should go out with. A few weeks later, we had our first date on the 4th of July in Forest Park. We watched fireworks, ate barbecue, and enjoyed some music by Flo Rida. Josh brought a blanket for us to sit on during the performance. The blanket had a kitten printed on it which I found to be hilarious. It was the best first date I've ever had.
For the proposal, Josh took me to a local jeweler to pick out the exact ring I wanted a few weeks before he proposed. We were laying in bed one night watching television and he pulled it out and asked me the question. We're not exciting people.

Daysha: I knew I didn't want the traditional bouquet in my wedding. Simply Eloped made the process of choosing a bouquet easy. They sent us many options and one stood out to me. It was a green leafy bouquet that had no colored flowers in it. I wanted the focus to be on my dress rather than the bouquet. So picking a plain bouquet seemed right to me! I believe the florals played a big part in the style of my wedding it gave it more of a boho/effortless theme we were going for.

Daysha: I went to the The Bridal Shoppe in Crystal City, Missouri for my wedding dress because I've known of people in the past who had a good experience with them. I booked a private appointment on a Saturday to shop. I invited two of my best friends, my mom, and my aunt. The Bridal Shoppe provided us with snack foods and wine (wine really helped my nerves that day.)
I went in thinking I would chose a long sleeve dress, because I typically enjoy being covered up. My bridal consultant recommended a different style of dress which was the opposite of what I envisioned. It hugged my curves, it sparkled which is necessary, and it was very boho which felt like me. I cried after saying "yes to the dress" which was partly due to me being thrilled I found the dress, and partly due to the many glasses of wine.
For Josh's tux, we went the easy route. At a local department store, we found a light blue tux on clearance, bought it, and didn't look back. My husband is a little different minded when it comes to fashion than me. All he cares is about is the price tag.
