Elopement I Solnedgången Vid Medelhavet På Italiens Östkust
Serena: We were supposed to do a big wedding this year with all our friends and family. The fact that we are Italian means we had around 220 guests on our list of invites. Unfortunately during the current global pandemic we had to postpone our wedding and instead of getting married we spend our time in the hospital saving lives. Due to the strict measurements at home we were not even able to hug each other we had to keep our distance. As soon as the situation improved and the restrictions were lifted we felt we wanted to celebrate our love even more than ever. That is why we decided to do as small intimate elopement. Luckily we live close to one of the most beautiful coasts in Italy and the world, the Gargano in Puglia.
Serena: The beautiful 5 starLa Locanda del Carrubo Boutique Resort & Spa is the only 5* star hotel of it’s kind in the region, the feeling you get when you entire is of ultimate tranquility and luxury overlooking the Azur blue sea. We wanted to highlight the beauty of the infamous coast of Puglia and it’s culture. We went for an intimate yet luxury feeling with details and colours that reflected the beautiful land and sea that come together so harmoniously in Gargano. We would describe the setting as Apulian meets boho chic by the sea. We used decoration and styling inspired by the region and used a mix of dry flowers and fresh flowers you would find in Puglia’s nature. All participating vendors were locally sourced from Puglia, by the wedding planner.
Serena: I had a dress from the new bridal collection of Seresse Couture a local brand that had a long full tulle skirt and I loved the hand woven beadwork on the bustier. The tulle on the shoulders really added something extra to the dress. I wanted to have a modern dress with a vintage twist. Salvatore was very impressed when he saw me. He went for a tailored suit from my brothers store that sells wedding attire for men. It was very special for him to wear a suit from his brother in law. He looked very handsome in his suit.
