Kelsey: We chose to go with a marsala, navy, gold, and cream color scheme. We didn’t want too much of a Christmas feel but still wanted to incorporate it in some ways. As our commitment ceremony we used a wooden cross and three strands to symbolize me, my husband, and Christ. For us, keeping Christ at the center of our wedding was key!
Kelsey: My husband and I actually went to high school together. We “dated” when i was in 9th grade and he was in 10th. We soon broke up due to me not being allowed to date and never seeing him outside of school... haha! We stayed friends and went our separate ways.
In October of 2014 we crossed paths again. His brother had been in a car accident and had passed away. I went to his house to see him and his family and ended up becoming very close to his sister. Through our friendship growing mine and Randall’s also grew. One night we stayed up talking until 6am.. I left and said “I’m going to marry that guy one day”.
A couple of months later December 27, 2014 we started dating. June 2017 we got engaged at a local park. I had always joked that i would be okay with a ring pop so he had photographers there taking pictures of us and then got down on one knee holding a ring pop wrapper and my beautiful ring!! Of course i said yes! Then, December 2017 we got married!!
Brudtärneklänningar för vinterbröllop:
Kelsey: We kept our wedding decor simple. We used a lot of greenery and gold to accent the tables. All of the handlettering and calligraphy was DIY. I do handlettering and calligraphy so that really helped us save money!!
Kelsey: I think what I anticipated the most was walking down the isle and seeing him for the first time. The look on his face and the tears running down his cheeks is something I will never forget. We were both crazy nervous and it was as soon as we saw each other all of the nerves went away.
Kelsey: My biggest piece of advice is to try and plan as much as you can each month leading up so that you aren’t super stressed the month of the wedding. I also recommend splurging on your photography and Videography.. it seems like a lot of money but you get them for a lifetime so you might as well make sure you love them!! I am so happy we went with both an amazing photographer and Videographer!!
Kelsey: I think my favorite part of the day was the snow. We had the most beautiful back drop of snow. The day we booked Summerfield Farms I joked about how beautiful and cool it would be if it snowed. Well, it snowed and made for the most beautiful pictures! It was freezing but so worth it!!
